Earlier this month Raiders owner Mark Davis fired team PR director Zak Gilbert reportedly for an SI article that was not favorable in the way it depicted his late father Al Davis. It was perhaps a gratuitous move, one that made many think, “Oh, here go the Raiders being the Raiders.” One of the more interesting ostensible plot lines to come from the firing was that it possibly meant there was trouble in paradise between Davis and Reggie McKenzie. Reggie understands...

Gilbert was reportedly fired because the younger Davis didn't like the way his father was portrayed in a Sports Illustrated article by Jim Trotter; Mike Silver...

The Raiders are known for being a team that doesn't retire numbers but late owner Al Davis long spoke of having a Raiders Hall of Fame though the concept never materialized. More important than a proposed Hall of Fame is that of a new stadium. The plans for both of those go hand in hand, according to owner Mark Davis, because where one goes, the other will follow. "...
