According to an article by the Philippine Daily Inquirer, boxer Manny Pacquiao has been strict to pace himself while training for his upcoming fight against Juan Manuel Marquez.  Pacquiao was quoted as saying, Before, it was always heavy training for me every day — morning and afternoon.  Now, I’ve learned to pace myself. Apparently, Pacquiao’s age has limited his physical activity.  He knows his limits now.  As a young boxer, he was full of energy and surprises.  Now that he is older, going too hard while training could result in a loss in the ring due to a tired body. In a way, this is very Kobe Bryant-esque.  Two of the greatest athletes we have seen in the past decade who had that bounce early on, but are now picking their spots. This is great news for Pacquiao fans knowing he is taking care of his body in preparation for a fight that could make or break his career.  A loss could deem this the end of his career while a win could inch him closer to a mega-fight against Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
