Smokin’ Joe Frazier recently passed away but will be remembered in the hearts of boxing fans all around the world for his warrior mentality in the squared circle.  Here is a small list of some of his most memorable fights during his great boxing career.

Muhammad Ali I- Dubbed the fight of the century, Smokin’ Joe was able to win a 15 round unanimous decision over Muhammad Ali. It was brutal and wonderful fight to watch.  After the bout, Smokin’ Joe’s record 27-0.

George Foreman I – It was the first loss of Frazier’s career and featured two men absolutely trying to kill one another.  It was the ultimate war of wills that George Foreman ended up being the last man standing. After the bout Frazier’s record was 29-1.

Muhammad Ali III- “The Thrilla in Manilla” was the trilogy that solidified his status as a Hall Of Famer and warrior. It was a fight that was a twist of two tales with Smokin’ Joe starting out to fast and eventually tiring from the heat and punishment that Muhammad Ali delivered on that night. The fight moved his record to 32-3.

George Foreman II- This was the one puzzle that Smokin’ Joe could never quite solve and he ended up being knocked out.  However, his willingness to engage and take a pounding was something great to watch. After the fight his record was 32-4.

Floyd Cummings- No true warrior leaves the squared circle on a loss and that was proven in the match as he fought Floyd Cummings to a 10 round draw.

Boxing fans will miss this great boxing warrior all around the world and certainly have to appreciate his conduct in and out of the squared circle.
