Boxer Hector Camacho has turned himself in to police in Orlando after he was charged with child abuse for allegedly assaulting his son. According to the Orlando Sentinel, the 49-year-old former champion is accused of picking up his teenage son by the neck, slamming him to the ground and stomping on the boy's foot in March 2011. The boy reportedly told police Camacho was "high on drugs" at the time and looking for a bag of money at his ex-wife's home. The Florida State Attorney's Office filed charges in November. Camacho surrendered to authorities Monday and posted a $5,000 bond. A representative of the Puerto Rican boxer told TMZ on Tuesday that Camacho does not use drugs, and that, "everything has been resolved between him and his family." The representative said the dispute was over money, but said Camacho called police himself before any physical altercation occurred.
