Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s “30 Days in May” documentary aired on Showtime Wednesday, marking his most visible appearance on the premium channel since he signed with the network in February. The program had a completely different feel from what viewers were used to seeing on HBO’s “24/7″ series. The documentary was shown in a countdown style, taking viewers through a day-by-day look at how Mayweather spent his last 30 days before turning himself in to serve his jail sentence for domestic violence and harassment. The production and footage was done by a Mayweather in-house crew, giving a more first-person look at his life than what we are used to seeing. The documentary was extremely self-promotional — even by Mayweather standards — and boasted about the boxer’s influence in the city of Las Vegas.
