A bicep injury suffered by Devon Alexander while hitting the heavybag last week has forced the postponement of his bout with Kell Brook, originally scheduled for February 23 in Detroit. The IBF welterweight title fight will reportedly be rescheduled and though no possible date has been announced it will have to be at least a few months from now since Alexander’s injury will sideline him for about six weeks.
This is the second time that this fight has been postponed having been originally scheduled for January 19 then rescheduled after an ankle injury was sustained by Brook. Even though the first delay was caused by Brook, the 26 year old Englishman must be a little nervous about this second stall.
