Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer announced Saturday that Bernard Hopkins will defend the IBF light heavyweight belt against German Karo Murat on October 19 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. The 48-year-old Hopkins (53-6-3-2, 32 KOs) unanimously outscored Tavoris “Thunder” Cloud on March 9 to become the oldest pugilist to ever capture a major world title.
