The streak started on May 15, 2003.
The Red Sox are fourth overall in major league franchises as three NBA teams sit above them, those being the 1977-1995 Portland Trail Blazers (774), 1980-1995 Boston Celtics (567), and 1987-2000 Chicago Bulls (515).
In tomorrow's Boston Globe there's suppose to be either some kind of poster or it's going to be a special page in the paper (on TV it looked like a poster) with the 456 reasons to be thankful for 456 sellouts according to NESN's Jerry Remy who briefly showed it during tonight's game in the broadcast booth.
Speaking of NESN does anyone pay attention to The Edge that scrolling bar at the bottom of the screen like what ESPN does? It looks like they changed up the font and style a little bit. Now it's in a bolder and larger font. And another random NESN tweak...the pitchers count at the top of the screen. Now after each pitch and when the count is changed the box does a quick flash (like when the score changes) and the number is updated (if that makes any sense), it didn't use to do that, just thought I'd do a quick mention of it.
