• Jays, Moyer Agree To Minor League Deal

  Ageless wonder and pitcher Jamie Moyer and the Toronto Blue Jays have agreed to a minor league deal.

  Moyer will report to the Blue Jays' AAA affiliate in Las Vegas sometime this week. The Blue Jays will be the ninth team in Moyer's, 49, long career and his third in a month. He was with the Baltimore Orioles earlier in the month, but asked for his release after not being called up from the Orioles' AAA squad in Norfolk. Moyer pitched very well with Norfolk recording an ERA of 1.69 and 16 strikeouts with no walks.

  The Jays, although, have made "no promises" to Moyer other than a few AAA starts, according to Rogers Sportsnet. The Jays have some pitching woes with Brandon Morrow, Drew Hutchison, and Kyle Drabek all being on the disabled list giving Moyer a good chance to be called up to Toronto.

• Mayweather Plans For May Fight

  Floyd Mayweather, Jr.plans fighting May 5 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, according to sources Wednesday night.

  Mayweather, who knocked out Victor Ortiz in September, has not announced who his opponent will be, but everyone is hoping for Manny Pacquiao. The potential Mayweather-Pacquiao fight has been planned in the past, but plans fell apart after both sides could not agree on drug testing. Mayweather wanted Olympic style testing, whereas Pacquiao did not.

  Manny Pacquiao is set to fight, for the third time, Juan Manuel Marquez on November 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

  Mayweather has talked to his advisers and Mayweather has told them he wants the biggest fight out there. That fight would most definitely be Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather is 42-0 and a five time division winner.

  Mayweather is still planning on fighting despite the several legal cases he is facing. Mayweather faces trial for a misdemeanor battery charge after he poked a security guard in the face after a dispute over parking tickets. He also faces four felony charges and four misdemeanor charges from a domestic dispute with his ex-girlfriend, who is the mother of two of his children.
