The Seattle Seahawks are an incredibly healthy team, as
least as far as their injury report shows, as they prepare for their
opening-round Wild Card matchup against the Washington Redskins today.
There are only two Seahawks’ players on the team’s injury
report entering today’s game, cornerback Jeremy Lane (knee) and running back
Marshawn Lynch (back), and both are listed as probable to play.
Lane was not listed on Seattle’s injury report on Wednesday,
but he didn’t practice Thursday and was limited Friday due to his knee injury.
The cornerback has appeared in 13 games for the Seahawks this season, starting
three.
Lynch was limited by a back injury during Wednesday’s
practice session, but he returned as a full participant on Thursday and Friday.
He’ll look to carry the momentum of his standout season into the playoffs.
During the regular season Lynch rushed for 1,590 yards on 315 carries.

Seattle Seahawks Quarterback Russell Wilson’s Quest To Stardom
At the beginning of the year, I didn’t believe Russell Wilson would become the starter in Seattle. I had Matt Flynn penciled in as Seattle Seahawks’ starter this season. Don’t get me wrong, I have always been a fan of Wilson, I just didn’t think he would be their guy right now. In my mind, I didn’t expect them to shy away from the man that they just signed over the offseason...
Richard Sherman says the FedEx crowd is nothing compared to the 12th man
After yesterday’s road win at FedEX field, Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman told the media that the noise level from the crowd was nothing compated to Seattle’s fans at Century Link Field.“Nowhere near as loud as our home. They have more (capacity than SEA) but they don’t make enough noise.”Because of the way the Seahawks’ home stadium was constructed they might have...

Seahawks: Russell’s Paradox
The Seahawks belong to the Russell set. This is normal and abnormal.
According to naïve set theory…Sluggo, are we really going there? Yes, and before we start, let me remind you, splitting time between identities is a paradox of its own. So it’s not so abnormal to refer to oneself in the third person. After all, I am not Sluggo, and yet, Sluggo...
Seahawks rally as Wilson outplays ailing Griffin
LANDOVER, Md. -- In the spotlight of the playoffs Sunday, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson outshined his more heralded rookie counterpart, gimpy Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III. As a result, Seattle rallied for a 24-14 wild-card victory Sunday at FedEx Field. The Seahawks quickly fell behind by two touchdowns, and they allowed Wilson to be sacked...

The Seattle Seahawks are hoping their fears are not true. Chris Clemons
The team fears that defensive end Chris Clemons did not tear his ACL after being hurt in the Seahawks vs. Washington Redskins Wild Card playoff game. Head coach Pete Carroll said in his post-game press conference that he is worried...
Column: Wilson stands tall as only rookie QB left
(Eds: With AP Photos.) By TIM DAHLBERG AP Sports Columnist This was always going to be one of those once in a decade quarterback classes, even before Russell Wilson announced his arrival from what is arguably the loneliest outpost in the NFL.
Everyone expected big things out of Robert Griffin III and Andrew Luck. Wilson was more of a pleasant surprise, catapulted from third-round...
Trent Williams punches Richard Sherman in the face
When players from the Seahawks and Redskins met at mid-field following their NFC playoff game, it was only a matter of time before Richard Sherman and Trent Williams found each other.
The result was so talking and then attempted punch/shove by Williams to the face of Sherman. As players were seperated the Seattle corner took a chance to wave.
Seattle won the game 24-14 and will play...
NFC Wild Card: Seahawks @ Redskins Preview & Prediction
There is a reason I’ve held off until last to predict this game and it isn’t because it is the last game of the weekend. The reason I’ve procrastinated on this one is simply because even as I’m writing it, I’m not sure who I’m going to pick to win it. When two of the hottest teams in the league face off in the 5th seeded Seattle Seahawks and the 4th seeded Washington...
Wild Card Round: Seahawks at Redskins (Game Thread)
I've been sick as a dog this week, and through all the vomiting and the groaning and the general misery this game has stood out like a bright, shining beacon on the horizon. The Seahawks and the playoffs, together again -- how great is that?
When the Hawks improbably clawed their way into the postseason in 2010 with a 7-9 record, all they did was pull off one of the most...

NFL Wildcard Weekend: Sure-Fire Shocker Of First Round
There have been some wild wildcard weekend upsets in recent years. Who can forget Denver’s improbable victory last year over the Steelers, on a Tim Tebow passing touchdown in overtime no less? Or how about Marshawn Lynch and the 7-9 Seahawks barreling over the heavily favored Saints two years ago? Certainly there is nothing more compelling than watching two teams go at it with...
RG3 hurt, Redskins fall to Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks finally won a road playoff game Sunday, taking a 24-14 NFC wild-card victory over the Washington Redskins, who lost Robert Griffin III to another knee injury in the fourth quarter.
